Ad for Montana Meth Project pulled for being too graphic
The Montana Meth Project is a drug prevention project known for its graphic ads depicting life on meth. The ads have been very effective in droping the rate of meth use in the state of Montana.
However, a new ad has been deemed too graphic and will be taken down.
You may have noticed new Montana Meth Project billboards displayed across the city but starting Wednesday, one of those ads is being removed and not just in Billings but across the state.
Montana Family Foundation President, Jeff Laszloffy, began lobbying for the ad removal this week after the foundation received several phone calls from concerned members.
He says many people feel the ad that says “15 bucks for sex isn’t normal. But on Meth it is.” is controversial and too graphic.
Tuesday the Montana Meth Project agreed to take down the ads and will replace them with different anti-drug ads.
