Man loses cocaine, asks cops to say they seized it

US Citizen Leroy Carr stashed two backpacks filled with cocaine in bushes near a Boy Scout park in the State of Washington.  When he returned, the two bags with 31 kilograms of cocaine were missing.

Mr. Carr, being worried that he will be accused by his drug suppliers of stealing the drugs, decided to contact law enforcement to report the drugs missing.

But this time, agents say, Carr, 46, reported Aug. 7 that he had stashed two backpacks loaded with cocaine in the bushes near a Boy Scout camp and that when he returned, they were gone.

And, he asked, could the government issue a news release stating that federal agents had seized the drugs?

That way, “the drug-trafficking organization would believe his statements that he had not stolen the cocaine,” agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported.

As for the drugs, a boy scout ranger who was making repairs to the surrounding fence found the bags and reported it to the police.
